This was a full bedroom makeover for my daughter who moved from a shared room with her (annoying) brother to her own magical space. Lots of natural timber used here to tone down the deep aqua green paint my daughter picked along with muted and earthy tones to create a warm and welcoming space. The painted bedhead were wall panels we found secondhand, along with the bedside table that we sanded, re-varnished and re-knobbed (so not a word I know but hey, I’m innovative)! Yes, my daughter is only eight and this is a sophisticated room but that’s just the kinda girl she is! She doesn’t do toys, just books, books, puzzles and more books! The modular, timber bookshelf and shelves above her bed house some of her extensive library and various knick knacks (she’s into collecting random, pretty things). This room will serve her through to teenage years with it's calming tones and natural elements.
