This 'Snapshot' is from one of our first 'Style Solutions', for a client whose new highset home overlooked the beautiful Obi Valley, just outside Maleny. This unique, timber, pole home featured high-set ceilings and glass doors that led out to the wrap around verandah and that amazing view! A family of four, this client wanted dramatic and bold design that was also cosy and inviting for their visitors and the children. We used lots of natural timber accents, rusts and mustards to create that welcoming, warm feel. The statement lighting, art and rug grab the attention, creating the requested DRAMA! and the black accents throughout ensures the finished room turns heads while also inviting you to relax and enjoy it. Client Brief: Modern Industrial influences with a welcoming, warm feel. Pain Points: High ceilings, large space to style with a desire to emphasis not overshadow the amazing surroundings. Solutions: Statement pendant lighting to draw the eye upward and create contrast to the vast, vaulted white ceilings, dramatic art (an ode to the black cockatoos who fly by each sunset), natural tones, timber and a warm palette to create that welcoming, cosy feel with black, metallic forms to add a touch of the industrial and keep it classic and modern.
